MACON, Ga. — Irving Consumer Products, a leading producer of paper products headquartered in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada, is investing $400 million in a state-of-the-art tissue manufacturing facility in Macon-Bibb County, Ga., a move that will create more than 200 jobs.

Irving Consumer Products is a leading supplier of household tissue products, baby diapers and training pants that produces some of North America’s top-selling tissue brands, including Royale and Majesta in Canada and Scotties facial tissue in the United States. It is also a leading supplier of store brands for major North American retailers. The company has three tissue plants located in Dieppe, New Brunswick; Toronto, Ontario, and Fort Edward, New York. Its diaper manufacturing plant in Moncton, New Brunswick, is the only diaper manufacturing site in Canada.

Engineering and planning for the new facility are currently underway. Construction will begin this summer and is expected to be completed in 2019. At the height of construction, more than 540 people will be employed on-site.
