FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Following mixed financial results in the first quarter of the year, Staples was confident in its ability to navigate past choppy retail waters. Crucial in the retailer’s strategy are its own brands and exclusive collections designed to entice shoppers with a differentiated assortment. To that end, Staples has announced a collaboration with DwellStudio, a design house for fashion-forward, modern furnishings. The two brands will debut an exclusive 40-piece collection of modern office organization pieces scheduled to launch in-stores and on Staples.com on June 6.
“We’re excited to work with DwellStudio on an exclusive line that introduces their signature style to any office space,” said Amy Steel Vanden-Eykel, VP, merchandising, Staples. “At Staples we’re constantly looking for new opportunities that will give our customers a chance to make their business or home office unique while maintaining functionality, and the DwellStudio collection helps us do that.”
This marks the first time DwellStudio has brought its designs to life for office products. The new products feature a range of bold colors and patterns on everything from pencils and metallic-patterned file folders, to aluminum nesting trays for desktop organization and tech travel pieces. Items in the collection range from $2.99 to $34.99.
“Teaming up with Staples for the first time on this accessory line was another fantastic outlet for DwellStudio’s archive of in-house designs,” said Bingka Leung, creative director, DwellStudio. “What we love most about the collection is that each piece is distinct on its own or can be mixed and matched together to give any office space a modern, fashion-forward vibe.”
Other pieces in the exclusive DwellStudio collection include notebooks, accessory pouches and a laptop clutch.
