To celebrate Pride, Urban Outfitters has partnered with rising Chicago hip-hop artist Taylor Bennett to introduce an exclusive collection of graphic T-shirts and hats. All profits will be donated to GLSEN.
Pronounced "glisten," the organization was founded in 1990 by a small, but dedicated, group of teachers in Massachusetts who came together to improve an education system that too frequently allows its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students to be bullied, discriminated against or fall through the cracks. More than 25 years later, the small group has burgeoned grown into the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ students.
According to Billboard magazine, the seven-piece offering, which launched this week in all North American Urban Outfitters, “includes one long-sleeve tee, three short-sleeve graphic tees, a tapestry, and two baseball hats. They come in shades of pink, blue and white with messages like "Love is Love” in colorful designs from UO’s in-house designers.” Prices range from $24 to $39.
